Johnny Depp to Reclaim Hollywood Glory As His Oscars 2022 Hopes Rise Because of THIS
Johnny Depp might win his first-ever Oscar despite losing his "Pirates of the Caribbean" and "Fantastic Beasts" franchises' roles.
In the past years, Depp seemingly tasted Hollywood snub while trying to clear his name amid his legal battle with Amber Heard. Unfortunately, his first showdown with a tabloid was not in favor of him that he lost his Captain Jack Sparrow and Gellert Grindelwald roles.
But despite the losses, Depp made another commendable impression when he starred in the drama film "Minamata." The movie was first premiered at the Berlin International Film Festival. It tells the story of American photographer Eugene Smith who successfully documented the aftereffects of mercury poisoning in Minamata, Kumamoto, Japan.
It earned the title "return to form," and the award-winning piece might help Depp reach his first-ever Oscar.
For what it's worth, Oscars expanded its empire and added a brand-new category. The Academy decided to have a Fan Favorite best film winner. With that development, Deppheads immediately started using their powers online.
Johnny Depp's Fans Urged Everyone to Vote For Minamata
On Twitter, fans flocked and started voting on their favorite 2021 films. The film that scores the most fan votes by March 3 will secure the recognition and receive the award on the 27th.
Depp's fans then launched a fan campaign, saying that voting for "Minamata" means voting for Depp, as well.
One said, "My vote is for the movie "Minamata", as it is a harrowing look at corruption and a person trying to unveil the truth. Johnny Depp is a stellar actor and this is one of his finest works yet, next to Chocolate. #OscarsFanFavourite."

In another news, Depp is said to be preparing ahead his defamation trial against Heard. Most recently, he hired high-profile attorney, "Making a Murderer" attorney Kathleen Zellner, and added her to his team.
