Taron Egerton gave his fans an update after collapsing on stage during his first performance on the "Cock" play.

On Saturday, Egerton and the other "Cock" cast members launched the play's first night at the Ambassadors Theater in London. Directed by Marianne Elliot, the new play also features Phil Daniels and Jade Anouka. It tells the story of a man, who previously identified himself as gay, who begins to question his sexuality after falling in love with a woman.

The most-awaited first performance, however, took a wild turn after Egerton fainted on stage. The event caused the curtain to be brought down and halted the play.

Fortunately, a doctor in the audience quickly checked Egerton, per Deadline.

Director Elliot came up on stage a few moments later to assure the crowd that the actor was doing well backstage. However, she said that he could no longer continue and that his understudy, Joel Harper-Jackson, would appear in the final part of the play instead.

Following the onstage blunder, Egerton took to his Instagram Story on Sunday morning to give his fans a health update.

According to the 32-year-old, he currently suffers from a slightly sore neck and "bruised ego."

"As some of you may have heard, I passed out during the first performance of COCK last night. I am completely fine. Slightly sore neck and a bruised ego, but I'm fine," he said.

The actor added he would come back with a vengeance a day later to make it up to the viewers. He then took his time to the team and his cast mates for helping him out, especially to Harper-Jackson, who filled in his shoes.
