Apple consumers are eagerly gearing up for a rumored fall reveal of the iPad 5.

New statements by Apple CEO Tim Cook may prove recent release date predictions right. Previously, Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo of KGI Securities determined that reports pointed to a late July production start for the new tablet, placing the device on a schedule to hit stores in late September or early October. This alleged timeline also coincides with the iPhone 5S release date speculations made by Peter Misek.

"Our teams are hard at work on some amazing new hardware, software, and services that we can't wait to introduce this fall and throughout 2014," Cook said, according to Expert Reviews.

The unveiling of the iPad 5 and iPhone 5S should also mark the release of the Cupertnio company's new mobile operating system, iOS7.

However, the iPad Mini 2 may not make an appearance at the same time as it's older sibling. Due to issues with the retina display, the newest Mini may not see its release date until March or April of next year, according to the International Business Times.

The iPad 5 is expected to be lighter and thinner while showing off a narrower bezel. This may be possible due to the adoption of GF2 touch screen technology that is currently used on the iPad Mini, according to PC-Tablet. An improved camera, an upgraded operating system and a faster processor are also all rumored to be packed into the device.
