Denise Richards celebrated the birthday of Sami Sheen, the daughter she has with ex-husband Charlie Sheen by posting the sweetest message ever.

However, since this comes just a few weeks after RIchards said she has a strained connection with her daughter, some assumed that she's being a sweet mom for the 'gram.

Or, she and her daughter could have already patched things up - it's not impossible after, all!

The 50-year-old mother of three took to Instagram to wish her 18-year-old daughter a happy birthday by posting three images of her. She captioned these with a tearjerking, heartwarming message, "In a blink of an eye you're 18.... !!!! Happy Birthday my beautiful Sami."

The three pictures comprised of two young Sami and one very beautiful 18-year-old Sami all spruced up and showing off her bright red nails.

While staring into the camera, Sami's hair was tinted a bright pink. She was also wearing gold earrings.

"I love you so much. Privately many more words to share with you," Richards added.

To her 1.4 million Instagram followers, Denise posted two old images of her firstborn.

Thanks very much, mum! I love you too!' Sami replied in the comments, hinting that the two's relationship has certainly mended already.

It can be remembered that when Richards appeared on SiriusXM's "Jeff Lewis Live" last month, she said things between her and Sami were difficult. She added that Sami has dropped out of school.

Richards said she would love for Sami to live with her rather than with Charlie, but also acknowledged that parenting teens these days is hard, particularly in Los Angeles where everything is just so accessible. She added that services such as Uber and Postmates made it all the easier for teens to do what they want, unlike in the past when such do not exist.

She clarified though that what Sami is accusing her of, that she's a very strict mom, is not true. She just have "rules and boundaries."

Meanwhile, it appears that Charlie Sheen is returning to TV.

The actor of "Two and a Half Men" and "Entourage" producer Doug Ellin have teamed together for a new Hollywood dramedy series. "

It will be entitled "Ramble On," starring Sheen, Kevin Connolly, and Kevin Dillon as themselves. It will tell the story of Hollywood veterans and up-and-comers trying to find their own voice in the industry. Sheen's father Martin Sheen will also be on the show as well as other big names, making it a star-studded one.
