Alfred Molina and Andreof w Rannells have a bizarre way showing their close friendship.

On Wednesday, Molina and Rannells joined the star-studded 24th Annual Costume Designers Guild Awards. The duo turned people's heads when they kissed each other on the lips before Rannells kissed Molina on the cheek.

The playful kiss even happened in front of the 68-year-old "Spider-Man: No Way Home" star's wife, Jennifer Lee, who he married in August 2021.

Meanwhile, Rannells is currently in a relationship with actor Tuc Watkins. The duo developed a romantic relationship after starring in the Broadway Show "The Boys in the Band" in 2018.

Aside from their public kiss, Molina also caught people's attention when he spoke about his "Spider-Man" villain, Doc Ock. According to the actor, he had everything underneath a big leather coat. Despite his costume looking heavy, it was reportedly comfortable. He noted that the costume design also felt like typical clothing and not a costume.

"The big metal belt looked like it would be very heavy but Sanja Hays, the designer, did a very clever thing," Molina said. "She cut the back out of the leather part of the costume, which you couldn't see, which basically meant I could breathe a bit."

Alfred Molina's Surprise Return As Doc Ock

Molina's comment on his "Spider-Man" character came after the recent installment garnered positive responses from MCU fans.

For what it's worth, the actor shared his excitement in reprising his role following his appearance on Sam Raimi's "Spider-Man 2" in 2004.

"It was very interesting going back after 17 years to play the same role, given that in the intervening years, I now have two chins, a wattle, crow's feet and a slightly dodgy lower back," he said.

Jon Watts reportedly told him that his return was possible as they could de-aged him just like what the studio did to Robert Downey Jr. and Samuel Jackson. Marvel Studios de-aged RDJ using CGI before doing the same to Samuel L. Jackson's 1990s version of Nick Fury.

In similar news, the character's return alongside Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield helped the franchise reach its record-breaking success. Forbes noted that "Spider-Man: No Way Home" ended its theatrical run as the No. 6 all-time blockbuster movie in the world after garnering $1.75+ billion.

The figure was impressive enough, especially since the COVID-19 pandemic still restricts other countries' cinemas.
