Barack Obama's Kids Sasha and Malia Want To Become Celebrities? Former POTUS Embarrassed
Sasha and Malia Obama, the daughters of former President Barack Obama, are reportedly being courted by major networks to star in a reality program.
Following their relocation to Los Angeles, according to a source who talked with OK magazine, Hollywood has been calling them nonstop.
Network executives are confident that the former First Daughters' TV ratings will be gold, and "there's a growing perception that they're open to proposals."
Malia, a 23-year-old Harvard University alumni who graduated last spring, has already landed a job as a staff writer on Donald Glover's new project.
During this time, her younger sister Sasha, who recently went to USC, is still trying to figure out what she wants to do with her career.
However, according to the source, the experience of living in Los Angeles has prompted Sasha to consider a career in the entertainment industry as well.
Both former First Daughters, on the other hand, are careful not to sign up for anything "trashy" because they are aware that "if they got the proper pitch for something tasteful," they "may just bite."
After that, the insider went on to say that their mother Michelle Obama may even give her approval.
Unfortunately, their father, President Barack Obama, is not enthusiastic about the rumored reality program.
According to the insider, the last thing he wants to happen is for cameras to be following Sasha and Malia around all the time.
According to reports, the former president believes that "the potential for embarrassment" is extremely high.
In an interview with James Corden on "The Late Late Show with James Corden," Barack Obama discussed the idea of his daughters pursuing political careers in the same way he did.
The 44th President told the presenter that when they were youths, they were trailed by secret service agents when they went out on dates with girls. As a result, he does not believe that they would ever be interested in pursuing jobs in public administration.
"They're still suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) from guys talking into their wrist mics and glasses as they're trying to get to a music festival," Barack joked.
