Teresa Giudice To Appear On 'The Real Of Housewives of New Jersey Season 5 Reunion Show'?
If Teresa Giudice's lawyer could have his way, he would confirm that his client will appear on The Real Housewives of New Jersey season 5 reunion show.
Giudice's attorney, Henry Klingeman, told NorthJersey.com, outside of a Newark, N.J. courtroom on Tuesday, that he could not say whether Giudice would appear on the show, but he would like for his client to continue her work with Bravo. According to the attorney, filming TRHONJ is a "source of passion for her and a source of support for her kids."
The season 5 reunion show has not been filmed and season 6 begins taping in the fall.
Klingeman answered reporters' questions about Giudice's lavish spending habits, which played out on the reality show, and its connection to her legal troubles. She once spent $120,000 on furniture, during an episode, and $2,000 on clothing in a 10-minute shopping spree on another.
"While it's called realty TV, I'm not sure that everything you see on the show is real," Klingeman told the media in front of the Newark courthouse.
When asked if the lavish spending shown on television led to the investigation, the lawyer said he was unsure.
The attorney who represents Teresa's husband, Joe Giudice, suggested his client's celebrity status might be affecting his case. Miles Feinstein of Clifton, New Jersey told NorthJersey.com that Joe is being treated "differently from other defendants charged with the same offense."
Joe is not an American citizen and faces deportation if found guilty on his charges, which include using his brother's name to obtain a driver's license.
Enstars reported that U.S. District Attorney Paul J. Fishman announced on Monday that the couple were indicted on 39 charges for a wide range of financial offenses, including IRS bank mortgage loan fraud and wire and loan fraud.

When the couple appeared in a Newark, N.J. court room on Tuesday, they were released on $500,000 unsecured bail bonds each, after they were read their rights and list of charges. They will return to court on August 14.
