Johnny Depp, Amber Heard ABUSED Each Other? Ex-Couple's Counselor Speaks Up
Johnny Depp and Amber Heard reportedly showed mutual abusive behaviors during their short-lived marriage, their marriage counselor revealed.
Depp and Heard have been dropping bombshell abuse accusations against each other long before the recent defamation trial started. However, this time, their marriage counsel testified and claimed that they were both abusive during their short-lived but toxic marriage.
In a clip shared by Law&Crime Network's official Twitter account, marriage counselor Dr. Laurel Anderson shared new details about Depp and Heard's marriage. She once worked with them for 21 sessions in October 2015, and she reportedly witnessed how they were engaged in mutual abuse.
"I know she led (the fights) on more than one occasion and started it to keep him with her because abandonment and having him leave was her worst nightmare," Dr. Anderson said. "Miss Heard reported that it was a point of pride to her if she felt disrespected to initiate a fight. Her father had beaten her, she was not going to end."
She was asked whether Depp was violent toward Heard despite the actor's former partners that he was never abusive to them. Dr. Anderson, immediately, answered "yes."
Dr. Anderson explained that the "Pirates of the Caribbean" star was well-controlled for years, and that Depp and Heard were victims of abuse in their homes. However, the "Aquaman" actress reportedly triggered Depp.
Johnny Depp Had Difficulty During Sessions
Dr. Anderson continued with her testimony and recalled the times she worked with them.
As quoted by Daily Mail, the marriage counselor reportedly had a three-and-a-half hours session with the estranged couple during their first meeting. She revealed that one of them walked out, but it remains unknown if it was Depp or Heard.
They worked together until March 2016. At that time, the former couple's friend asked her to make a house call but did not respond to the request as she had never done that.
According to Dr. Anderson, she thought Depp was struggling in sessions, and the "process" between them affected it.
"Having a voice. Miss Heard had a jackhammer style of talking. She was very amped up. He had trouble talking at a similar pace. He was cut off a lot. I'm guessing this is what it was. This is how he didn't have a voice. He couldn't talk with her rapid-fire way of conversation so he was really overwhelmed," she went on.
In the end, she confirmed that she saw Heard's bruised face, but the counselor never saw the abuse and never knew the cause of those injuries.
