Johnny Depp offered a counterattack during his cross-examination and questioned why Amber Heard did not leave during his drunken rage if she was afraid.

Depp returned to the stand during his defamation trial against Heard on Thursday. After sharing his testimonies in the past days, he was cross-examined while several evidence against him were presented to the court.

One of the most shocking materials was a video recording taken by his ex-wife during his drunken rage in their kitchen. The jurors witnessed how the actor keeps breaking things before pouring himself a glass of wine.

The "Pirates of the Caribbean" actor can be seen kicking cabinets and yelling a foul word inside his West Hollywood home. His then-wife asks him what happened, but instead of answering, he reaches a glass out of a cabinet and smashes it hard.

Heard tells him that nothing happened "that morning," but more smashing occurs afterward.

Depp spots the camera and grabs it, saying he will give him "crazy" because she wants to see one.

After presenting the video, Heard's lawyer Ben Rottenborn started the cross-examination by asking the actor about his drug and alcohol use.

Johnny Depp's Cross-Examination: What Happened?

Rottenborn asked Depp whether the "Fantastic Beasts" actor poured himself a "mega-pint of wine." Depp, in his disbelief, reportedly poured himself a large glass of wine - not a mega pint - since he thought it was necessary.

For what it's worth, the actor repeatedly told the court that he consumed alcohol and drug not to make himself high but to numb his feelings.

However, the lawyer did not accept Depp's explanation since he reportedly described his wine consumption as a mega pint during his trial in London.

The lawyer did not disclose when the video was recorded, and Depp said he could not recall why he was upset with his then-wife.

Rottenborn questioned him again if Depp's behavior in the clip was his image of a "Southern gentleman" that the witnesses described him as. He explained that, while he does not know anything else, he is aware that he has experiences in his life that a person sometimes loses control over their emotions.

Still, he clarified that he truly did assault several cabinets but never physically attacked the actress.

In the end, Depp showed skepticism that Heard felt afraid and threatened during his rage, saying, "I did not try to intimidate Ms. Heard. If she was intimidated, why was she filming? If she was scared to death, why didn't she leave?"
