‘Drag Race’ Star Mo Heart Reveals How Charli XCX Impacted Her Coming Out Story
Throughout the seasons of "RuPaul's Drag Race," many previous contestants have opened up how they ran away from home and embraced their sexuality to be their authentic selves. Season 10's Mo Heart is no exception, as she recently revealed one celebrity that made a significant impact on her coming out story.
In an episode of Amazon's "The Walk In," hosted by the drag queen herself, the show featured Charli XCX's closet where she explained the significance of her wardrobe to her performances and red carpet appearances.
At one moment, the singer pulled out a two-piece Skittles-inspired rainbow costume she wore at Wynwood Pride in Miami, Florida, last year.
Since they were talking about pride, Mo Heart brought up the topic of her past, revealing that Charli was a part of her coming out story.
The singer became excited and asked her to spill all the details.
Mo Heart explained that Charli wrote a song titled "I Love It" by Icona Pop featuring the singer herself.
At the time of its release, the "RuPaul's Drag Race: UK vs. The World" contestant said she had just left the Christian community and became homeless for a while.

Fortunately for her, one of her friends let her stay with them then she got a job at Forever 21.
"I remember just being depressed, crying, going through it, hanging up clothes," she said.
While working, she heard the song, and it changed her life. Mo became emotional and expressed her gratitude to Charli, saying it was a surreal moment to meet her in person.
Mo Heart's 'Drag Race' Success
Since leaving her community and lived her life independently, Mo Heart's career skyrocketed when she became a contestant on "RuPaul's Drag Race" season 10.
Even though she got eliminated during the "Snatch Game" episode where she impersonated representative Maxine Waters, her personality made her a fan favorite, leading RuPaul to bring her back for "All-Stars 4."
Her run on the spin-off show became successful as she won maxi challenges without winning any major challenges on her original season.
Mo Heart was able to make it to the finale, but RuPaul crowned two winners, Monet X Change and Trinity The Tuck.
The drag performer was later brought back for the third time to represent the United States on "RuPaul's Drag Race: UK vs. the World."
She also made it into the final two, but United Kingdom's Blu Hydrangea won the season.
