Johnny Depp Guilty? Actor Engaged in THIS Telltale Sign!
Amber Heard has finally taken the stand in Johnny Depp's defamation case against her.
On May 4, the "Aquaman" actress took the stand for the first time in court to defend herself.
The trial is being streamed live on many social media platforms. When Heard speaks, she addresses the jury, the lawyer who is interrogating her, and even her ex-husband.
However, social media fans observed that the "Pirates of the Caribbean" star appeared to avoid staring at her during her testimony.
The 35-year-old actress began her testimony by stating that the previous several weeks had been extremely tough for her.
She then went on to explain, "It's been a nightmare for me to sit here for weeks and relive everything. Hear individuals I knew - some well, others not - speak about my ex-husband, with whom I lived a life, in the manner they have."
When the court asked Heard to describe the first time Depp allegedly hit her, she confessed that it was an experience she will never forget and that transformed her life.
The "Rum Diaries" star claimed to have inquired about a tattoo on Depp's arm that seemed to be black markings. When he informed her it said "wino," she allegedly laughed, assuming he was joking.
But then, according to Heard, Depp reportedly struck her across the face.
During the first 10 minutes of Heard's testimony, Depp kept his head down while she testified about what occurred in the past.
The "Salt" actor appeared to be wearing sunglasses and avoided looking at his ex-wife by focusing on the table in front of him.
As the testimony progressed, he removed his sunglasses, but he didn't even glance up.
Johnny Depp Guilty?
Social media users were quick to note Depp's activities and assumed that his actions were motivated by remorse.
According to one Twitter user, "This reveals a lot about the victim... Amber Heard kept looking in Johnny's way when he was on the stand!"
Another individual commented on how Depp appeared to be acting "rude" and "dismissive." They even noted how occupied he was in his artwork.
"If he was innocent, he'd be sitting up straight, focusing on the testimony. But it's not his witness, is it? Suspicious conduct."
Other fans, however, believe that Depp's lack of eye contact was not due to remorse or shame - rather, they believe it was due to terror and fear.
"Take note of the change in JD's conduct. Lower your head. Drawing. Guarded. He's afraid of his abuser, who is only a few feet away. AH, on the other hand, did not look away from him once during his testimony."
