Kim Kardashian Lost 16lbs: Personal Trainer Shares Star's Strict Routine
Kim Kardashian has received a lot of flak after revealing she lost 16 pounds for the 2022 Met Gala.
The reality star stole the show on the red carpet at this year's renowned event, wearing Marilyn Monroe's "Happy Birthday, Mr. President" gown, a literal piece of history.
Monroe wore the gown to serenade President John F. Kennedy in 1962, the same year she died.
To get into the dress, Kim Kardashian claimed she went on a stringent diet and training regimen, telling the source, "I would wear a sauna suit twice a day, run on the treadmill, completely cut out all sugar and all carbohydrates, and just eat the cleanest veggies and protein."
"I did not starve myself, but I was really rigid."
When she told Vogue on the Met Gala red carpet that she had three weeks to lose weight in order to fit into the dress, she was heavily chastised on social media for pushing dangerous weight reduction practices and unattainable beauty standards.
On Twitter, one user stated that Kim's actions were "damaging and disturbing in ways I can't even begin to comprehend."
"Kim says she dropped 16 pounds in 3 weeks simply to wear a dress," another added, "and they're pretending like this is normal."
"Kim telling everyone she dropped 16 pounds in 3 weeks to fit into Marilyn's dress is so unbalanced and harmful to encourage to any young girls watching," a third individual said.
Lili Reinhart, star of "Riverdale," attacked her, calling her a "stupid, dangerous" celebrity.
Kim Kardashian, on the other hand, seems to have busted her butt in order to shed the much-needed pounds in order to fit into Marilyn Monroe's iconic dress.
DON-A-MATRIX, her personal trainer, told TMZ on Wednesday that the reality star lost weight the old-fashioned way - via hard work and fasting.
During the two-week procedure, he allegedly spent time with Kim and reiterated what the KKW Beauty entrepreneur had previously stated - that she was rigorous but did not "starve" herself.
Don also revealed that the former Mrs. Kanye West was a gym beast, working out twice a day and eating a well-balanced diet.
However, Don also stated that it was not just the mother of four who dropped a significant amount of weight in a short period of time, but that his other clients did as well, and they apparently lost even more.
He claims that exercise and a good diet are the key.
