Prince William Scared To Become King? Body Language Shows Signs of Anxiety
Prince William's body language during the State Opening of Parliament reportedly showed signs of anxiety due to the weight of responsibility he is about to receive.
Queen Elizabeth II made royal fans worried as Buckingham Palace released a statement on Monday, confirming her non-attendance at the opening of Parliament on Tuesday due to her mobility problems.
Prince Charles, the heir to the throne, did the job instead alongside the reserve to the throne, Prince William.
Although the Duke of Cambridge is yet to take the throne, a body language expert revealed that he already showed nervousness due to the "weight of responsibility" on his shoulders.
Adrianne Carter recently explained to The Daily Star that Prince William looked like he lacked confidence during the recent event compared to when he is conducting public engagements.
"He is not always as confident at 'officialdom' as he is when interacting with real people," she said, as quoted by Express.
Since it remains unknown whether the Queen would still be able to deliver her own speech again, Prince William seemingly feels increased pressure while fears over the monarch's health intensify.
As for Prince Charles, Carter noted that the Prince of Wales looks like he has been ready to succeed the throne for a long time. While he looked natural and comfortable, his wife Camilla also seemed to be nervous due to her posture.
Carter took her time to examine Prince William's body language even more. He added that whenever the Duke stood, he purportedly appeared submissive as he kept his head bowed most of the time.
Prince Charles Finally Reaches Big Moment As Heir
Managing editor of Majesty magazine, Joe Little, talked about Prince Charles' big moment when he delivered the speech on Queen's behalf.
"It was rather telling the way that as the Imperial State Crown was placed on the table at the side of him, he looked at it for several seconds. You kind of wondered at the time what was going through his mind," he said.
Supporters and fans of the monarchy have been looking forward to what the future holds for them. Although Prince Charles would rather have the Queen deliver the speech herself, he saw the moment as something important for him and Prince William as Counsellors of State.
