Is Queen Elizabeth OK? Monarch Looks in Pain Ahead of Platinum Jubilee Celebrations
Queen Elizabeth II looked like she was in pain ahead of the Platinum Jubilee celebration, a royal commentator noted.
Many royal experts felt delighted after seeing a healthier-looking Queen at the Royal Windsor Horse Show on Sunday. Her appearance took the royal fans' worries away as they had been feeling anxious about her health status due to mobility issues.
Still, royal commentator Richard Palmer said that the Queen was suffering in pain during her public appearance.
The royal correspondent for the Daily Express said that some sources informed him about the monarch's current suffering amid Palace's silence on her health.
Insiders expected the Queen to stay for an hour. But she notably remained during the whole event on Sunday.
"The Palace was not saying anything because as far as it was concerned it was a private event, which I found a bit strange for them to say that. Because this was an event that was going live out on ITV at peak time, and indeed it appeared as an official engagement in the court circula the following day," he said.
Although she came, the Queen was noticeable in pain, per the commentator.
Queen Elizabeth II Receives an Advice Amid Health Concerns
Following her appearance ahead of the Platinum Jubilee celebrations, a source revealed to Us Weekly that the Queen needs to prioritize her health - even if it means she should be out of the public's eyes more frequently.
According to the insider, Queen Elizabeth II's loved ones and advisors already told her to go easier on herself.
"Her attendance at these events is being handled on a case-by-case basis, so if she isn't 100 percent on any given day that she's due to be somewhere in person then she turns the duties over to someone else, be that Prince Charles or another serving senior royal who's available to handle matters in her stead," the source said.
They also added that the 96-year-old monarch still suffers from the lingering effects of her COVID-19 battle against the COVID-19 virus. Thus, she remains feeling fatigued.
Amid the health issues she is facing, the Queen is said to have begun adjusting her routine to "charge her batteries" before the Platinum Jubilee celebrations. Still, she purportedly desires to participate in as many events as possible without overexerting herself.
