Is Prince Harry's book about to be shelved?

The highly anticipated memoir was meant to be released this autumn, but it has now been disclosed that its publication date is questionable.

Indeed, it's feasible that it won't be published this year at all.

The 37-year-old Duke of Sussex has already collected almost $17 million in advance for his book, which he has promised would discuss his highs and lows as a member of the royal family and after leaving the royal family.

The untitled book will cover his romance with now-wife Meghan Markle and raising his children outside of the United Kingdom.

"I've worn many hats over the years, both literally and metaphorically, and my hope is that by telling my story - the highs and lows, the mistakes, the lessons learned - I can help show that no matter where we come from, we have more in common than we think," he said in a statement when the book was announced last year.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex declared in 2020 that they would be stepping down from their top royal duties to live more private lives, and they did so entirely in 2021.

Penguin Random House stated that the book will be released in late 2022, although no date has been confirmed.

They couldn't even confirm whether or not the book will be launched as scheduled.

And now, an individual with knowledge of the publishing firm has divulged to The Sunday Times (via The Sun) that there is some "uncertainty" about the release date of Prince Harry's book.

Sussex Public Relations Nightmare

Since their royal wedding in 2018, the pair has been unable to retain some of the most important staff members.

Toya Holness, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's Archewell Foundation press secretary, allegedly severed company with the pair after starting work for them in October 2020.

The former employee was dubbed "Meghan's shadow" and was noted for dressing similarly to the former "Suits" actress.

According to the Daily Mail, Toya is one of 12 essential aides who are no longer working for Prince Harry and Meghan.

However, the departure of their press secretary is far from the couple's only business-related issue in recent months.

Netflix also canceled "Pearl," a children's animated series created by the former actress in collaboration with Archewell Productions as part of their 2020 deal with the streaming giant.

As part of their agreement, they were also obligated to develop material such as films, TV series, and documentaries.
