Prince George's Swaddle Blankets Sold Out in the UK
The world only got to a chance to see Prince George for a few moments, but people took notice of his swaddle blankets.
The infant wore a white blanket while cradled in his parent's arms and then shortly after wore a swaddle with an adorable bird print when his father Prince William put him in the car for their trip home to Kensington Palace from the hospital.
New York Magazine reported July 25 that both swaddles have been identified -- and the one the little prince wore in the car seat has already sold out in the U.K.
The publication said the first swaddle is from British knitwear's G.H. Hurt and Company and is the "super-fine merino wool christening shawl." They also reported that Victoria Beckham is a fan of the company as well and that daughter Harper has the same swaddle in pink.
The website for the company warns the consumer that the blanket is in production right now but can be pre-ordered.
"Customer notice: This item is currently in production. Due to the high demand we anticipate availability in approximately 10 weeks," a statement on the website said.
New York Magazine reported the bird print swaddled is made by a U.S. brand, Aden + Anais, and has already sold out in the U.K.
The website for the company said the 100% cotton blanket is on back order. It comes in a four pack called "Jungle Jam Swaddle," all four with a different animal pattern. Reportedly, the swaddle is still available in America and is also being sold on Ebay.
