New York Knicks News 2013: Carmelo Anthony Talks Shoulder Recovery & Future With Team [VIDEO]
Carmelo Anthony says his right shoulder, which bothered him in the playoffs last season, is doing much better.
"Carmelo on his partially torn left shoulder: 'To feel the difference now....than a I did a couple of months ago it's night and day,'" New York Daily News reporter Frank Isola tweeted on Saturday.

Anthony first suffered the shoulder injury on April 14, in a game against the Indiana Pacers. The Knicks superstar said his shoulder "popped in and out" after Boston Celtics forward Kevin Garnett tugged on it during the first round of the playoffs. He later said the injury affected him throughout the postseason.
Anthony, 29, averaged 28.7 points on 45 percent shooting and 6.9 rebounds for the Knicks last season, but his shooting dipped in the playoffs to 40 percent and he often grabbed his injured shoulder and winced in pain during the postseason.
At one point, reports stated that Anthony would have to undergo surgery to repair his left shoulder, but extended rest negated any need for the Syracuse alum to go under the knife.
"We're hopeful that it'll be a non-issue going forward. But there's no guarantees on these injury things," Knicks GM Glen Grunwald told ESPN back in June.
In another tweet on Saturday, Isola mentioned that the Knicks superstar remains mum about his future with the team after next season, at which point Anthony can opt out of his current contract and become a free agent.

"Carmelo on his opt-out clause: 'My mind is not even even thinking about next offseason. When the time comes I'll deal with it,'" Isola tweeted.
Despite praising the Knicks' offseason moves thus far, Anthony has refused to address his potential status as a free agent after the 2013-2014 season.
While coaching at his summer basketball camp in Las Vegas last week, the 29-year-old said he liked the Knicks' recent signings of Andrea Bargnani and Metta World Peace, but sidestepped questions about whether he planned to play for the Knicks long-term, saying only that next season was an important one.
