Gwen Stefani, Blake Shelton Continue To ‘Grow Apart’ Ahead of Wedding Anniversary?
Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani will be celebrating their first wedding anniversary in less than a month.
While it should be a pleasant occasion, a source informed Star magazine (via OK) that there won't be much of a party.
Shelton and Stefani have allegedly had multiple squabbles in recent months, and the 45-year-old country superstar's tour may cause them to drift even more apart.
According to the source, the couple is having difficulty adjusting to their married life, and reality has already set in.
They went on to say that one of the biggest issues in their marriage is that they both have quite different lives.
"Blake's a no-frills rural guy, whereas Gwen's a city lady at heart who won't show her face without full makeup," the insider says.
"They were always such a strange couple in so many ways."
While the platinum blonde singer-songwriter has tried to embrace Shelton's simple interests, such as fishing, a source claims she has yet to "truly accept" farm life.
Meanwhile, the "Minimum Wage" singer is said to be pushing himself to appreciate his wife's tastes.
Stefani supposedly has her way and can convince her husband to agree with her, and their marriage appears to be going well on the surface.
But when it comes time for Shelton to express himself, Stefani apparently does not approve.
"She gives the idea that she is in charge of the relationship."
Gwen Stefani is also said to be insecure during Blake Shelton's travels because it was alleged that he met now-ex-wife Miranda Lambert while on tour while still married to his first wife, Kaynette Williams.
But Shelton should be on his best behavior because both of them have already signed on to be coaches for the upcoming season of "The Voice."
Gwen Stefani, Blake Shelton Baby Via Surrogacy
According to the same source, they want to have more children, despite Stefani already having three with ex-husband Gavin Rossdale, and their friends are hoping for a bundle of joy in their marriage via surrogacy.
However, the friends also hope that the pair resolves their concerns first.
It's still advisable to take this rumor with a grain of salt because there's no proof that Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton are having marital problems.
