Amber Heard Plotting Revenge Against Johnny Depp After Crash 'TODAY' Interview
Amber Heard is leading herself to another defamation case with her recent move.
Critics have long warned Heard over the defamatory statements she made during her exclusive interview on the "TODAY" show. They said that it might lead to another lawsuit, especially since the court recently found out that she truly defamed Johnny Depp in her 2018 The Washington Post op-ed.
But Heard is yet to stop as the "Aquaman" actress signed a new tell-all book deal after losing the defamation trial.
OK Magazine reported that Heard plans to write a book while considering her career in Hollywood. An insider said she would do everything she wants now that she has nothing to lose.
"Amber considers her career in Hollywood over. She's already in talks and is excited about it," a source said, per New York Post. "At this point, she has nothing to lose and wants to tell all."
The same insider said that the 36-year-old actress does not have a reason to turn down the money since she is now broke.
However, Heard still has something to lose as an expert believes the book could lead to potential lawsuits.
Amber Heard Could Face Jailtime?
Following the announcement, an expert warned that the book might try to ruin Depp's reputation again — and it could lead to another lawsuit.
The author of "The 1% Divorce, When Titans Clash," Dror Bikel noted the things that happened during the defamation trial and highlighted that Heard got no credibility after losing the case.
For what it's worth, the jurors found that the actress was not believable throughout the trial. After the court awarded Depp with a favorable verdict, Heard automatically suffered a devastating moment with regard to her reputation and credibility.
"To the extent that Heard wants to discuss this case and her relationship with Depp in a tell-all statement or book, she needs to be extremely careful as to what she says about him. Depp and his attorneys will be reading and listening to everything that Heard states," Bikel said.
If Heard crosses the line again, it is highly likely that she will end up in court soon.
Her decision came after she told Savannah Guthrie that she fears further defamation lawsuits from Depp. She explained that the cases are meant to take her - and anyone's - voice.
But with her interview and book, it is safe to say that Heard is asking for it — again.
