Deborah James AKA Bowelbabe Cause of Death: BBC Podcast Host Dead at 40
Deborah James, popularly known for being a podcast host for the BBC in the United Kingdom, passed away at the age of 40.
According to People Magazine, the journalist's official Instagram account shared the devastating news, announcing that she died after suffering from bowel cancer for years.
She was first diagnosed with the health condition in 2016.
The post revealed that she passed away peacefully while being surrounded by family.
"We are deeply saddened to announce the death of Dame Deborah James; the most amazing wife, daughter, sister, mummy," the statement reads.
James, also known as Bowelbabe, was an inspiration to many as she committed her last years to charitable works like fundraising and spreading cancer awareness.
During her final days, she broke "barriers, challenge taboos and change the conversation around cancer."
Even though the BBC personality has passed away, her legacy will continue through her Bowelbabe Fund for Cancer Research initiative.
The post concluded with a "few final things" from the podcast host herself, telling fans to take risks, have zero regrets, and always have "rebellious hope."

She also advised fans to check their poos because it could save their lives.
Her foundation was announced after she stopped receiving treatments for cancer and was in a hospice.
Taking to the social media platform in May, James posted her "final" message, revealing that they tried everything but her body isn't "playing ball."
"Nobody knows how long I've got left, but I'm not able to walk, I'm sleeping most of the days, and most things I took for granted are pipe dreams. I know we have left no stone unturned," she wrote before noting that her body couldn't continue despite modern technology and medicine.
James added that she wrote about having her final Christmas and birthday over the past five years, but she never imagined herself writing a letter where she would say goodbye.
Announcing her Bowelbabe Fund, the journalist said she knew there was something she needed and wanted to do before she passed away.
Since she has raised awareness and funds for charities over the past years, she wanted to establish her foundation.
"My whole family are around me and we will dance through this together, sunbathing and laughing (I'll cry!!) at every possible moment," she concluded.
