Johnny Depp VS Amber Heard: Dakota Johnson Disappointed Following Case Involvement
Johnny Depp and Amber Heard named several celebrities during the recent defamation trial — and Dakota Johnson was not having it.
During the six-week-long trial, a video of Johnson and Depp at the Venice Film Festival went viral. The clip in question featured the celebrities during the promotion of their movie, "Black Mass."
The "Pirates of the Caribbean" shows her his injured finger after catching her looking at it.
Another copy of the clip was uploaded on YouTube, with the title saying, "The EXACT moment Dakota Johnson KNEW Amber Heard was VIOLENT towards Johnny Depp."
In a new interview with Vanity Fair, the 32-year-old actress expressed her desire to be out of the discussions.
"I was like, 'For the love of God, why? Why am I involved in this?' I don't remember that at all, but please, take me out of this. Don't let this go further. Can you imagine, oh, my God, if I was called to the witness stand?" she said. "I can't believe that people are watching [the trial] like it's a show. It's like it's a courtroom drama, and my heart breaks. It's so, so, so crazy."
She then called humans "weird" and the internet a "wild place" for claiming false stories in the past years.
According to Johnson, she does not recall that moment, so she really has no idea what happened to Depp at all.
Johnny Depp's Severed Finger Issues
The event happened after Depp and Heard had an argument in Australia, which led to the finger injury.
Depp's personal nurse, Debbie Lloyd, said she heard different stories about it from people.
She revealed that she heard that the actress threw a bottle of vodka at him that severed the finger. Meanwhile, she also learned that Depp himself slammed it with a phone.
On the other hand, Depp's lawsuit insisted that the first one happened, saying that the bottle shattered and cut through the bone of his finger. Heard, meanwhile, countersued and denied the claims.
The same incident took the spotlight in the defamation trial since several witnesses, including his home manager, talked about it in the courtroom.
For what it's worth, Ben King detailed that he found Depp's missing fingertip in a bloody paper towel near the bar one hour after his arrival. He put it on ice and handed it to the actor's private doctor, Dr. David Kipper, and head of security Jerry Judge.
He also urged Heard to leave and return to Los Angeles instead.
