Queen Elizabeth II Updated Job Description Proves Her 'Health Crisis,' Expert Says
The reign of Queen Elizabeth II is said to be in "uncharted terrain" after Buckingham Palace altered and reduced her job description.
The decision, according to royal expert Daniela Elser, only indicates that the Queen is in a health crisis, as she "is no longer up to the same work she has done for the previous seven decades."
She said that this is the first time the palace has admitted that Queen Elizabeth II can no longer do her job since her health problembegan in October 2021.
"Moreover, the palace has recently admitted that things are unlikely to return to as they were for Her Majesty."
Furthermore, the Monarch's mobility difficulties prevent her from doing any physical duties as sovereign as she previously could.
"What the palace has now done is formally announce that the period of the Queen is a visible fixture in British society," she continued. The Queen's role as a reassuring constant is basically finished."
However, the journalist emphasized that Queen Elizabeth II is not ready to relinquish her throne just yet, citing her "certain magnificent tenacity of spirit."
Queen Elizabeth II New Job Description
This is the first time in a decade that the British Monarch's responsibilities have been alteredto minimize her commitments following her Platinum Jubilee last month.
Her new official duties emphasize the assistance of other royal family members while eliminating some of her old roles, such as attending the State Opening of Parliament.
The job details were signed by the Keeper of the Privy Purse, Sir Michael Stevens, and in terms of the Sovereign Grant, Queen Elizabeth II will continue to be the Head of State and Head of Nation, but she will require her family to carry out some of her prior tasks on her behalf.
"The Queen is considerably aided by other members of the Royal Family who undertake official responsibilities on Her Majesty's behalf," according to the article.
The updated document not only affects 13 of the Queen's specified tasks as Head of State, but it also eliminates specific duties such as paying and receiving state visits and choosing the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom.
Instead, the Queen's amended job description emphasizes generic obligations, stating that her role as monarch "encompasses a variety of parliamentary and diplomatic functions."
Though she will continue to welcome heads of state, he will no longer pay state visits.
