Film producer David Pearce, one of the two men being charged after the deaths of Christy Giles and Hilda Marcela Cabrales-Arzola, plans to offer a not guilty plea.

Recent court records revealed that Pearce was charged with the murders of Giles and Cabrales-Arzola. Meanwhile, actor Brandt Osborn also received charges for being an accessory to their murders.

In a recent report by Los Angeles Times, it was revealed that Pearce plans to plead not guilty in his coming arraignment on July 11.

This resonated with what his attorney, Jacob Glucksman, told E! News.

"Mr. Pearce strongly denies any wrongdoing in these unfortunate deaths. It has taken nearly a year to file the charges because the evidence is so glaringly weak. The DA's Office and law enforcement have had trouble locating any fire and just seem to be breathing a lot of smoke," the lawyer said.

This came after the Los Angeles Police Department disclosed the arrests of the two suspects and Michael Ansbach - the latter was held due to suspicion of being an accessory, as well.

Osborn and Ansbach were later released as they were not yet charged at that time. But Pearce stayed behind the bars due to other charges, including sexually assaulting four women between 2010 and 2020.

What Happened to Christy Giles and Hilda Marcela Cabrales-Arzola?

The rising model and her friend, who was an architect, were dumped in separate hospitals last year.

Giles was dumped near Southern California Hospital in Culver City while her friend Hilda Marcela Cabrales-Arzola was found brain dead at Kaiser Permanente hospital in West Los Angeles.

The model died on the spot while Cabrales-Arzola was found brain dead. She eventually died on November 24.

A GoFundMe after Giles' death revealed, "Two hours later the same vehicle with two masked men dropped her friend, Hilda off at a different hospital. Hilda currently remains on life support with no brain activity with little possibility of recovery."

The exact causes of their deaths were revealed in April. Per the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner's office, died due to multiple drug intoxication. Giles reportedly had a fatal mix of cocaine, fentanyl, ketamine, and gamma-hydroxybutyrate acid (GHB)

Meanwhile, her friend died of the same reason and multiple organ failure. She also had cocaine and MDMA in her system.

Per the authorities, Pearce and Osborn also pretended to be good Samaritans who found the two women on different curbs.
