NBA Knicks: Metta World Peace Drops New Rap Song 'Peace' & Taunts Brooklyn Nets on Hot 97 [VIDEO]
Metta World Peace dropped by New York's Hot 97 radio station on Monday to premiere his new song Peace and discuss his new role with the Knicks.
"It's definitely a dream come true," Peace said of his move to the Knicks. "I've been trying to do this for 15 years, but if I had come here when I was 19, I was in the streets too much...it was over."

Host Ebro Darden said Knicks fans were hoping that peace would bring the type of ferocious play that made him a notorious figure in his earlier years in the league. Peace, however, said he's no longer that type of player.
"I'll play good, hard basketball but...my brother called me a goon the other day; I'm not a goon man," Peace said. "It's over, I'm 33 years old."
The former Laker also took a shot at the Knicks crosstown rivals the Brooklyn Nets, mocking their slogan "Where Brooklyn at?"
"I love the city man, just because the Nets in the building, I still rep Brooklyn; But I'm not a Net fan, I'm a Brooklyn fan," he said.

The former NBA Defensive Player of the Year also debuted his new rap song, entitled Peace. Darden said he has jeered Peace about his foray into rap for years, and the host hinted that the station only played his music out of "respect," because Pace hails from Queens, New York.
In the past, the enigmatic forward, formerly known as Ron Artest, released several rap albums, including My World in 2006.
