Queen Elizabeth II was recently sighted carrying out an unexpected royal engagement outside the confines of Windsor Palace.

As she journeyed to Maidenhead with her daughter, Princess Anne, the 96-year-old princess allayed fears about her health.

Her Majesty attended the ceremonial opening of the new Thames Hospice facility in a baby blue dress with a white and green flower design, per UK Express.

According to reports, the Queen has been having episodic mobility challenges in the previous several months, which is why she strolled around the hospice with a small walking stick.

It is worth mentioning, however, that the monarch appeared to be in good spirits and health as she spoke with staff members at the newly-opened facility.

She met one of the patients and was seen kneeling down to welcome Pat White, who sat on a green chair and shook her hand.

Behind her stood Prince Royal, who grinned broadly as he met with participants and supporters of the charity.

In addition, the Queen commemorates her visit to the hospice by presenting a plaque and signing the guestbook.

This year marks Queen Elizabeth II's historic 70th year on the reign, and she continues to blend in-person and virtual activities, as she did during the epidemic.

Meanwhile, a royal analyst said that the British monarch's head is "more happy" these days.

Early this year, it was announced that Queen Elizabeth II would be permanently relocating to Windsor Castle, where she had been since the outbreak began.

While Buckingham Palace is the monarchy's principal headquarters, it has been alleged that the Queen "never truly enjoyed" the vast palace.

In his podcast, Mark Francis, presenter of "Palace Intrigue," stated that Queen Elizabeth II is "more happy presently at Windsor Castle."

The podcast presenter also said that Darren McGrady, a former royal chef for 15 years, told "Coffee Friend" that she relocated to Windsor was unsurprising.

"She's never really enjoyed the palace," Darren said, according to Mark. It's always been the Queen's office."

"The Queen is always rushing back to Windsor Castle; she can't wait to get there."

One of the reasons the Queen like it so much is that she can go out and walk the dogs while also seeing the horses in her back yard. After all, "it's always been dogs and horses first" for her. That is her true calling."

Another reason is because she is currently in Windsor, and her family is also nearby."
