Johnny Depp's Lawyer Camille Vasquez Questionable, BFF With Expert Witness in Trial?
One of Amber Heard's pals is questioning Johnny Depp's lawyer Camille Vasquez after an old photo of her surfaced showing her being close with a trial expert witness.
Eve Barlow shared a photo of Vasquez enjoying her birthday with other females, one of them was Dr. Shannon Curry, the same psychologist who testified in court and stated that the "Aquaman" actress had borderline personality disorder.
"Why is the doctor who completed Amber Heard's Independent Medical Examination and testified as an expert witness on the stand also best friends with Depp's legal counsel Camille Vasquez?" said Barlow in a tweet that featured the image.
The journalist then retweeted another social media post with the same image and caption, "I guess this is how you get a Dr. to diagnose Amber with whatever #DARVODepp paid for getting his lawyer's bestie, a non-board certified psychologist with no ties to ethical guidelines, and plan her diagnosis over drinks."
Barlow posted another photo on Twitter, stating, "'Hey, you know how you have that pal who can pretend to be a psychologist?' Depp says to lawyer Camille Vasquez. Do you think she'll agree to make up that my ex-wife has borderline personality disorder if we invite her over for dinner?"
Dr. Curry was engaged to assess Amber Heard's mental health using medical records and previous video and audio recordings, as well as one-on-one contact with her.
During the defamation trial, the expert claimed that persons with BPD are "driven by an underlying fear of abandonment" and will continue to make "desperate measures" to prevent this from happening.
The psychologist's appearance during the defamation trial generated quite a stir on social media, with many believing she and the "Pirates of the Caribbean" actor exchanged flirtatious glances. Dr. Curry, on the other hand, later married another man.
Even before the TikTok videos went viral, Heard's lawyer questioned Curry about her prejudice toward the star, given that she and her partners attended dinner at his house. However, the psychologist argued that it was all part of the standard interview procedure.
Johnny Depp sued Amber Heard for defamation after she claimed to be a victim of domestic abuse in an op-ed for the Washington Post. She then filed a counter-suit against the actor for slander.
Finally, the jury sided with Depp, awarding him $15 million in damages.
