Savannah Guthrie has just recently shared a photo on Instagram, yet she is already facing backlash.

Fans of the "Today" program labeled her "fake" when she sent a birthday message to her co-anchor Hoda Kotb.

Previously, it was rumored that the two were experiencing set tensions, with a source alleging that they couldn't tolerate each other.

Savannah celebrated Hoda's 58th birthday by uploading four photosof the two of them together.

The first image was a framed photograph of them both smiling and hugging. The following shot showed them hugging on the set of the program while smiling broadly.

They were smiling and laughing together in the third and fourth shots. They were holding hands and smiling at the camera in the final photograph.

Savannah said in the description of her Instagram image, "She is our ray of happiness. @hodakotb, happy birthday!!!"

Due to the apparent friction, fans accused the former "Jeopardy!" guest presenter of being "fake."

They raced to the comments area, with one person urging Savannah Guthrie to "be genuine, get real," as they hope she does.

Another individual said, in reference to Hoda Kotb, "She's a true professional! Beautiful both inside and out. It is not necessary to make an effort. Savannah, take note!"

"This is a joke, right?" a confused Instagram user inquired. "They no longer collaborate at all. If one is present, the other is absent."

Savannah Guthrie and Hoda Kotb Feud

An individual with knowledge of the "Today" production told The Sun in Junethat, despite their friendly demeanors, they couldn't tolerate each other behind the scenes.

Savannah, they asserted, "is the boss now that Matt Lauer has been fired."

"Savannah seized control and desired Willy Geist in Hoda's place, but his ratings were just not up to the network's standards."

The "Kathy Lee & Hoda" host apparently outwitted Savannah and won the co-anchor position instead.

Savannah is also said to believe she is the "genuine news person," whereas Hoda is just a "lightweight who drank wine with Kathy Lee."

After decades on the air, Savannah Guthrie and Hoda Kotb became the first female co-anchors of "Today."

Fans, on the other hand, have attempted to get Savannah fired for being "rude" to Hoda and the other co-hosts.

In reality, the production team is rootingfor Hoda since she takes the time to chat with them, especially when it comes to answering intern queries.
