Elaine Bredehoft trended worldwide after stepping down from Amber Heard's legal team.

Before the highly-publicized appeal happened, Heard lost Bredehoft, who accompanied her throughout the six-week defamation trial with Johnny Depp.

Two angles emerged as of press time, suggesting that the lawyer was fired or personally quit the team.

Following the revelation, internet users voiced their different opinions about Bredehoft's fate, saying that she was just used by Heard as her "court prop."

One said, "So Elaine bredehoft is stepping down from her representation of Amber Heard in her appeal....Maybe it's finally clicked that even with vast amounts of "amica" cream, it will not conceal the numerous lies Amber Heard has told!!"

Before Bredehoft left Heard's team, the lawyer also received sympathy from the public amid the defamation trial months ago. For what it's worth, Johnny Depp's attorney, Camille Vasquez, continuously objected to her questions, leaving Bredehoft speechless.

At one point, Heard's lawyer repeatedly said, "I'm trying, I'm trying" after not offering a successful redirect against the other party.

At that time, Heard's disappointment toward her attorneys was also shown in a viral video shared on the Twitter page of Law&Crime Trial Network's executive producer Cathy Russon.

"When #AmberHeard was done testifying, the judge told her she could have a seat next to her attorney, twice, - instead - Heard walked out of the courtroom before the jury had the opportunity to leave for the break," the caption said.

Amber Heard Hires New Legal Experts

On Monday, multiple news outlets confirmed that the "Aquaman" star hired David L. Axelrod and Jay Ward Brown of Ballard Spahr to lead her team.

Although Bredehoft is already out of the picture, Ben Rottenborn will continue to be Heared's co-counsel.

"When it comes to protecting the fundamental right of Freedom of Speech, we look at the jury's decision - to paraphrase a famous quote - not 'as the beginning of the end, but merely the end of the beginning.' A different court warrants different representation, particularly as so much new evidence is now coming to light," a spokesperson for Heard said in a statement.

Meanwhile, Bredehoft clarified that she stepped down on her own will and wished Heard success as they move forward in the legal battle.
