Wendy Williams Betrayed By Oprah Winfrey? Embattled Host Broken After Learning About This
Wendy Williams wants everyone to side with her before the debut of Sherri Shepherd's highly-anticipated show.
Before Shepherd dominated the TV with her own show after the cancelation of Williams' program, the embattled host reportedly started doing everything to make her A-list friends boycott her replacement instead.
However, the tactic seemingly does not work out as even Oprah Winfrey decided to help Shepherd out.
Radar Online revealed that the former "The View" co-host has been receiving advice from Winfrey while preparing for the launch of her show. "SHERRI" will air its first episode on September 12.
Unfortunately, Williams reportedly never received similar treatment from Winfrey.
"Wendy couldn't get a Real Housewife to help her when she started her show, and here is Oprah reaching out to Sherri, who stabbed Wendy in the back. No wonder Wendy is heartbroken," a source told the news outlet, per OK! Magazine.
With that, the insider insisted that the world is now against Williams. The "Wendy Williams Show" purportedly begged for celebrities to appear on her show, but her now-rival just sits in the corner and receives calls from different powerful personalities.
The source insisted that if Winfrey appears on Shepherd's show, Williams will finally explode.
Indeed, Shepherd has truly been vocal about Winfrey's support for her and her show.
One of the pieces of advice she received was that Shepherd should reportedly focus on giving her energy instead of putting so much effort into the ratings. She heard more helpful comments that she disclosed she had 15 pages of notes.
Wendy Williams Wants Sherri Shepherd Down
Williams' alleged reaction was no longer surprising, as she has been open about Shepherd and the new show.
For instance, a source told The Sun that the embattled TV personally contacted her friends to ask them not to watch or attend Shepherd's show. She even warned that her "Real Housewives" friends also received her call to join the plans.
Despite the efforts, it was noted that her friends would still appear on "SHERRI."
Williams still has one supporter, though, as a separate source told Page Six that Nick Cannon agreed to the plans because of his loyalty to the host.
Everyone in the network already moved forward without Williams. Even Debmar-Mercury's executive VP of programming Alexandra Jewett said Shepherd impressed them to the point that she became their number 1 choice to become the host of a new show.
