Tanya Pardazi Freak Skydiving Accident: Was It a Failed TikTok Stunt
Social media influencer and TikTok star Tanya Pardazi died at the age of 21 following a horrifying skydiving accident.
TikTok received another death news this year after multiple news outlets confirmed Pardazi's death. The event was first reported by Skydive Toronto through its Facebook page, saying that Pardazi was skydiving on August 27 before her devastating passing.
It turned out that the 21-year-old skydiver and TikTok influencer launched her parachute too late.
"The skydiver released a quickly rotating main parachute at a low altitude without the time/altitude required for the reserve parachute to inflate," it said.
Skydive Toronto did not name the victim at that time. But CTV has since confirmed that the skydiver was Pardazi, who had more than 95,000 followers on the video-sharing platform.
The news outlet added that the fatal skydive marked the first time she jumped alone after completing her solo class at the facility.
The South Simcoe Police Service launched a probe into the incident to determine what led her to commit a mistake in pulling the parachute, but social media users suggested that she failed to have the parachute inflated as she was probably recording a video of it for her TikTok page.
Still, this should be taken with a grain of salt as the investigation is yet to determine the cause of the accident.
The authorities also revealed that the incident occurred in the area of 10 Sideroad and Line 4. Pardazi reportedly sustained fatal injuries after falling.
She was transported to the nearest hospital but was pronounced dead afterward.
Aside from being a TikTok influencer, Pardazi was also known as a Miss Canada participant who made it to the semifinals.
Tanya Pardazi Lived Her Life To The Fullest Before Her Death
Following the announcement of her death, her friends mourned and shared heartbreaking messages after losing Pardazi "too soon."
Melody Ozgoli said that the social media star lived every second of her life to the fullest. However, her death is still a big shock for them as they do not believe that the accident happened.
Meanwhile, Pardazi's other friend, Kimia Sepanlou, called her "one of the bravest girls" who was always up for an adventure.
Before her death, Pardazi was still able to record and share her last TikTok video on August 22. The clip now has countless messages of condolences from her followers.
