Oprah Winfrey Trends Online After Twitter Users Claim She Started THIS – 'You Can't Fool Us'
Oprah Winfrey is trending on social media for the wrong reasons.
The Queen of TV expressed optimism that "burying the deadm" will assist her friends Prince Harry and Meghan Markle in eventually making peace with their royal relatives, a year after their dramatic interview, which also contributed to the family's separation.
The relationship between the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and the British royal family, notably Prince William and Kate Middleton, looked to be strained after the former royals announced they would stand down from royal responsibilities and relocate to the United States in 2020.
During their interview with Oprah, Archie Harrison and Lilibet Diana's 37-year-old and 41-year-old parents discussed their choice to leave their $14 million estate in Los Angeles.
Prince Harry and Meghan made numerous shocking accusations, including an anonymous royal family member who expressed worries and talks about the color of their son's skin before he was born.
They also alleged that Kate made Meghan weep over a flower girl outfit before she married Prince Harry.
On Sunday, Oprah spoke out about where Prince Harry and Prince William stand, stating she hopes Queen Elizabeth II's death would bring them together.
In an interview with Extra, the 68-year-old said, "I think in all families - you know, my father passed recently, this summer - and when all families come together for a common ceremony, the ritual of, you know, burying your dead, there's an opportunity for peacemaking."
"And hopefully, there will be that."
Now, fans are wondering why Oprah has re-entered the ongoing British royal family crisis, given that she is said to have deepened the rift between Prince Harry, Meghan, and the rest of the royal family.

Oprah's comments drew a lot of backlash online, with many people blaming her of aggravating tensions after the Sussexes stepped away from royal life.
"She's priceless isn't she. Never analyzed a word [Harry and Meghan] said... She fancies herself a serious talk show presenter," one Twitter user remarked.
Another claimed she had multiple opportunities to offer "serious questions" and challenge parts of what Prince Harry and Meghan Markle said, but she "didn't."
"And attempting to convince the public that this wasn't meticulously choreographed? Come on, Sis. You can't fool us."
Another Twitter user claimed that if Oprah cared about the monarchy, she would not have given the Duke and Duchess of Sussex a platform to "slander the royal family."
They even alleged that Oprah influenced Meghan to trash Queen Elizabeth II and the royal family.
