Meghan McCain Challenges Sherri Shephered To Fight Her To Get Publicity: 'Toxic Mean Girl!'
Sherri Shepherd and Meghan McCain are yet to fix their relationship.
On Monday, Shepherd finally launched her own daytime talk show, "Sherri." She scored the timeslot that was previously held by Wendy Williams' "The Wendy Williams Show" as the embattled host continue to focus on her health and desired podcast project.
The first episode sailed smoothly as celebrities wished her the best in the program - except McCain.
During her interview on "Sirius XM's Andy Cohen Live," McCain slammed Shepherd. Andy Cohen first heard Shepherd's outburst when she guested on his "Watch What Happens Live" where he called McCain the most "disappointing guest" on "The View."
This time, McCain said she does not know Shepherd at all and accused her of doing stunts for publicity. She also suggested her to fight her instead.
"She was on the show, like, 15 years before me when I was in high school. So I don't know why anyone's under the impression that we're close friends. I think she has a new show coming out. She's looking for publicity. A really easy way to get publicity is to try and fight with me," she said, as quoted by ET Online.
However, McCain said she would love to deal with politicians instead of entertainers.
McCain shared further painful words against Shepherd, calling her a "toxic mean girl."
Per the host, she did the same several times when she was still serving "The View." She added that she was being targeted on the show.
Aside from the "toxic mean girl" reputation, McCain also called Shepherd the "ultimate mean girl, bad girl."
Wendy Williams Also Hates Sherri Shepherd
Williams, like McCain, does not wish the best for Shepherd.
Before the launch of "Sherri," Williams announced that she would boycott her show and make her A-list friends do the same. A source confirmed to The Sun that Williams contacted her friends about it, but most of them reportedly refused to do so.
Williams also told Fat Joe she would not watch "Sherri" because she would do what she wants in her own show - and those are not her thing.
Sherri has since responded to it through Instagram Live, telling people to pray for the host instead due to the things she went through in the past months.
