Prince Harry Suffers Humiliation Again After Military Uniform Changed — What Happened?
Prince Harry is said to be "humiliated" after losing Queen Elizabeth II's insignia from his military uniform.
Ahead of Queen Elizabeth II's State Funeral on Monday, the royal family held a senior royal vigil and saw members wearing military uniforms before paying respect to Her Majesty. However, multiple news outlets noted that the Duke of Sussex's military uniform was different from Prince William and Prince Andrew's as it no longer had "ER."
According to Fox News, the initials can be found on Prince William's uniform and Prince Andrew's military regalia. The initials refer to "Elizabeth Regina," name in Latin.
Royal expert Kinsey Schofield shared an explanation to Fox News Digital exclusively, saying that they do not know the reason behind the removal.
"We do not know why the initials were removed from Prince Harry's uniform, but I am told that Prince Harry was so distraught over the removal that he seriously contemplated not wearing his uniform during the vigil," Schofield said.
A friend of the duke also said that he is heartbroken and humiliated after losing his grandmother's initials. For what it's worth, Prince Harry served 10 years in the British Army but lost everything when he chose to relocate to the US with Meghan Markle and their family.
After that event, he was forced to give up his honorary military appointments after leaving his senior royal post in 2020.
Per Schofield, Prince Harry almost wore his morning dress instead since he believes it was a personal attack when in fact, it was not.
Prince Harry, Prince Andrew's Mishap
It was not the first time Prince Harry looked "different" compared to the royal family members.
During last week's procession from Buckingham Palace to Westminster Hall, King Charles III appeared alongside Princess Anne, Prince William, Prince Andrew, Prince Harry, and other royal members and staff.
When the royals saluted the coffin, ET Online noted that Prince Andrew and Prince Harry bowed their heads instead of saluting, as well. They were also the only ones not wearing military uniforms.
The recent events came in line with Buckingham Palace's announcement that they would not wear military uniforms since the two are no longer working royal members.
Prince Andrew lost his affiliations in January when Virginia Giuffre accused him of sexually abusing her in the past. He was also questioned over his involvement with the late trafficker, Jeffrey Epstein.
