‘Dont' Worry Darling' Movie Cinematographer Debunks Claims of Tensions Between Olivia Wilde, Cast
Is the "Don't Worry Darling" set devoid of chaos? "
The controversial movie's set, according to the film's cinematographer, was the "most harmonic set" he had ever worked on.
When he hears reports that there are difficulties on the set, Matthew Libatique told the "Behind the Screen" podcast that he quickly dismisses them since they "weren't obvious at all."
He insisted, "From my standpoint, the stories are completely untrue when it comes to being on set."
The seasoned professional insisted again that he was unable to talk about post-production.
The popular film producer Matthew, who contributed to "Black Swan," "A Star Is Born," and "Requiem for a Dream," did acknowledge that there had been tension after he departed.
The 54-year-old explained, "Whatever happened, it happened way after I left .. I was never witness to anything. And I didn't feel anything."
"You know, you get a feeling that there might be something going on and I didn't feel anything."
As the one who believed everyone on the set, Matthew also commended director Olivia Wilde.
The director of photography's comments came after Florence Pugh, Olivia's co-star in the film, and Hollywood were said to be at odds.
The "Midsommar" actress' lack of social media promotion of "Don't Worry Darling" caught the attention of fans.
According to a Page Six source, Florence and Olivia allegedly fell out in July over Olivia's on-set romance with co-star Harry Styles.
Just a few months after Olivia Sudeikis announced her breakup from longtime lover Jason Sudeikis, it was revealed that the "Watermelon Sugar" hitmaker and the director were dating in January 2021.
"I can tell you for a certainty that Flo seeing Olivia and Harry all over each other on set did not go down well since Olivia was still with Jason when she initially hooked up with Harry," the insider said at the time.
The mother of two, however, refuted the allegation to Vanity Fair, calling it "complete horsesh--" that she had left Jason for the Grammy Award-winning musician, and disputed that the two relationships had overlapped.
Olivia Wilde Stumbles Over
Meanwhile, Olivia Wilde graced the 70th San Sebastian International Film Festival on Friday for the "Don't' Worry Darling" premiere at Victoria Eugenia Theater.
She walked awkwardly with her high heels catching on the train of her long dress, despite the fact that she looked elegant in an emerald green gown.
Before entering, Olivia had to seek for help from employees to make sure she was completely free.
