Prince Harry, Meghan Markle Tired of Being Unpopular Among Royal Family Members, Commentator Says
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are making huge moves to change their lives and fate.
Being famous and popular are two different things. Fame is being known by the public, while popularity means having approval from people.
As for Prince Harry and Meghan's case, the couple reportedly no longer wants to be the most unpopular ones anymore.
ITN royal editor Tim Ewart recently appeared for an interview in the "Paul Murray Live" Sunday episode (via Flash) and talked about the Sussexes trying to be popular through their own projects. However, he noted that the couple also does not want to cause tension with the royal family members.
For what it's worth, Prince Harry and Meghan have an upcoming memoir and Netflix show, respectively.
"Whatever their position about ever rejoining the royal family which I think personally is quite questionable. They clearly don't want to become any more unpopular with the Royal Family and the British public than they already are," he said.
The Quarter 2 2022 result of YouGov revealed the Most Popular Royal Member, and the percentage reveals the number of people who have a positive opinion about the particular member.
First on the list is Queen Elizabeth II with 75 percent popularity. Following him on the list are Catherine, Prince William, Princess Anne, Zara Phillips, King Charles, Queen Consort Camilla, and the Countess and Earl of Wessex.
Meanwhile, Prince Harry and Meghan ranked 11th and 14th, respectively, with 34 percent and 25 percent popularity.
Prince Harry, Meghan Markle Trying To Be Royals in Their Own Way
The royal commentator's statement came after Prince Harry and Meghan found themselves in hot water for attempting to outshine the royal family again by sharing their One Young World Manchester 2022 photos.
One photo features the couple standing next to each other while the other shows them holding hands.
Daniela Elser of news.com.au said that the photos exposed Prince Harry and Meghan's "embarrassing habit" of trying to divert the attention to them. They uploaded the images 48 hours after Buckingham Palace released the first official image of King Charles III, Queen Consort Camilla, Prince William, and Catherine, Princess of Wales.
The author said that the quasi-official engagements only proved how much the two had been trying hard to have royal lives outside the monarchy.
