Ray Buffer, popularly known for starring in several Hollywood films like "Curb Your Enthusiaism," "Bullet Train," "American Gigolo," and more, has been accused of stealing comic books in California; will he face charges due to his actions?

According to Entertainment Weekly, the actor allegedly stole $600 worth of comic books by hiding it under his shirt at Southern California Comics in San Diego last week.

The comic store shared a photo on their official Facebook page, showing the actor wearing a blue shirt where he allegedly hid the items from the shop.

His identity was later confirmed by the store and they were able to reach out to him via e-mail. They gave him a chance to return all the stolen items or they would report the incident to the police, but he claimed he was getting harassed.

"Our camera captured him stealing comics by concealing them in his shirt. We discovered the crime and watched the surveillance video until we saw this. We are sending all the info over to the police," they wrote.

Will Ray Buffer Face Legal Charges After the Alleged Incident

As of this writing, the San Diego Police Department is already investigating the matter.

It's unclear what type of charges Buffer would face, but the store confirmed to the outlet that they will take legal action, as confirmed by owner Jamie Newbold.

The business owner also alleged that the actor had also targeted other shops as he reportedly stole from Metropolis Comics in Los Angeles a few weeks ago. They have provided a CCTV footage of the incident.

In the short video uploaded online, the actor can be seen wearing a red hoodie and a white shirt where a few comic books were hidden. When he was caught by a staff, he was asked to leave the premises immediately as he placed the stolen items on a table.

Ray Buffer has yet to publicly comment or react to the allegations against him.

According to IMBd, Buffer was popularly known for his work within the industries of television, film, and even theatre. He started out as a producer and director in theatre productions.

Some of his minor appearances include a politician in "Eat the Rich: The GameStop Saga," a hitman in "American Gigolo," a paparazzi in "White Famous" and many more.
