'A Haunting in Venice’ Official Cast: Michelle Yeoh to Star in New Film After ’Everything Everywhere’s Success
Good news for thriller fans! A new movie is currently in the works and it's set to feature some of the biggest stars in Hollywood today as they recently announced its official cast members including Michelle Yeoh following the success of "Everything, Everywhere, All at Once."
According to The Hollywood Reporter, a mystery thriller film titled "A Haunting in Venice" will be coming out soon produced by 20th Century Studios.
Kenneth Branagh is said to be the lead actor in the film along with other stars like Yeoh, Tina Fey, Jamie Dornan, Kelly Reilly, Jude Hill, and many more.
The star-studded lineup also includes Camille Cottin, Ali Khan, Emma Laird, Kyle Allen, and Riccardo Scamarico.
As of this writing, an official release date has yet to be announced, but production will begin filming on October 31, which the outlet suggests a perfect time to shoot because the movie's story is inspired by Agatha Christie's 1969 novel called "Hallowe'en Party."
'A Haunting in Venice' Story
The film will revolve around a 13-year-old girl who claimed she was a witness to a murder when she was younger. The character was later found dead in an "apple-bobbing tub."
Regarding its overall vibe, the Michael Green-written movie was described by 20th Century Studios as an "unsettling supernatural-thriller."

"Based on a complex, little known tale of mystery set at Halloween in a pictorially ravishing city, it is an amazing opportunity for us, as filmmakers, and we are relishing the chance to deliver something truly spine-chilling for our loyal movie audiences," Branagh said.
The lead actor, who also serves as the movie's director, is joined by Judy Hofflund as producer. James Prichard and Louise Killin serve as executive producers together with Ridley Scott, Mark Gordon, and Simon Kinberg.
Michelle Yeoh's Previous Success
The announcement comes a few months after Michelle Yeoh starred in "Everything Everwhere All At Once" which became A24's highest-grossing movie ever.
It surpassed the production house's previous successful film "Hereditary" as it only garnered $80 million, while the Yeoh-starring movie amassed a whopping $103 million in global ticket sales and $70 million at the domestic box office.
A24 is reportedly aiming for big recognition at major award-giving bodies. The martial arts fantasy film stars Yeoh as a Chinese immigrant that was entangled in a major adventure as she became connected to her other lives in different dimensions.
