Miami Heat basketball player Dwyane Wade has been open about his support for Trayvon Martin ever since the story of his killing got media attention in March 2012.

The magazine Ebony has issued four special covers featuring the headline "We are Trayvon" because of the recent acquittal of George Zimmerman for Martin's death in July. In their September issue the magazine will feature different stories about the verdict. Wade along with his two songs Zaire, 11, and Zion, 6, are featured on one of the covers. One cover will feature Martin's mother Sybrina Fulton, father Tracy Martin and brother Jahvaris Fulton.

The Huffington Post reported Aug. 6 that Ebony's Editor-in-Chief Amy Barnett was affected greatly by the tragedy.

"As a mother of a young Black boy, the tragedy of Travyon Martin affected me deeply," Barnett reportedly said in a press release. "We simply cannot allow the conversations on this issue to come to a standstill. As the leading source for an authoritative perspective on the African-American community, at Ebony we are committed to serving as a hub for Black America to explore solutions, and to giving readers the information and tools they need to help ensure a bright future for all of our children."

The Huffington Post reported Ebony will have exclusive interviews with Travon Martin's parents. There were also be a piece with Wade, along with Spike Lee and Kodjoe who will also be on the September covers. The piece will reportedly explore how they approach the topic of racism with their kids. There will also be an article by a Columbia University professor about racial profiling and a poem for Trayvon Martin by Jill Scott.
