Manchester United plays FC Sevilla today in a match they hope to use as preparation for their run at another English Premiere League title when the season starts on Aug. 17.

United enters the game facing reports that their star striker Wayne Rooney is leaving for Chelsea, but manager David Moyes, said he plans to play Rooney with his reserves for today's match.

It will be Rooney's first trip to the pitch after he missed all the six preseason games for his club. The game against FC Sevilla is an opportunity for Moyes to evaluate Rooney and gauge how well the striker is recovering from his hamstring injury.

FC Sevilla hasn't been facing any of the distractions Man U is dealing with, instead they've been winning recently against their opponents. They defeated Valencia CF 4-3 on June 1 and easily got past Mladost with a 3-0 victory on Aug. 1. FC Sevilla dominated Mladost again in a 6-1 defeat on August 8.

Sevilla is a formidable opponent because they are an offensive juggernaut, and an upset could be in the making if Manchester United underestimates them.

The Red Devils have looked mediocre in their last five games, so the game against Sevilla is Manchester United's opportunity to regain their form, with the start of the EPL looming.
