'Selling Sunset' Star Christine Quinn's Husband Arrested Again Hours After Initial Felony Assault Arrest
Christian Dumontet, spouse of former 'Selling Sunset' personality Christine Quinn, has been arrested twice within two days after being charged with a felony.
USA TODAY reviewed Los Angeles Police Department records on Wednesday, revealing that Dumontet, 45, was apprehended around 2pm Tuesday and processed before 6pm. Photos of his arrest went viral, as he was pictured in handcuffs barefoot in a bathrobe. He was charged with felony assault before posting a $30,000 bail. He was released shortly after.
Dumontet purportedly "threw a bag which contained a glass bottle inside of it. He threw it at the victim, but missed the victim and struck a child that was in the proximity," claimed a spokesperson for the LAPD. "Child was treated at the scene, not transported, and suspect was arrested on the scene for assault with a deadly weapon."
After his initial arrest, he was apprehended again on Wednesday for violating an emergency protective order that was obtained the day before. After posting bail, he returned to his Hollywood Hills home. He was released on Thursday morning after being charged with a misdemeanor for the Wednesday infraction.
Quinn, 35, and Dumontet tied the knot in 2019, showcasing their wedding in Season 3 of 'Selling Sunset.' They are parents to a 2-year-old son named Christian Georges Dumontet.
After departing the Netflix reality series and the Oppenheimer Group at the conclusion of Season 5, Quinn has remained out of the public eye. She has been focusing on her new venture, RealOpen, a brokerage that specializes in real estate transactions using cryptocurrency.
"That was not a healthy environment," Quinn shared with USA TODAY about her previous workplace in May 2022. "It's toxic. It's a cult. I have no desire. Bon voyage."
Quinn mentioned that while her departure from the O Group may have surprised some, the producers of 'Selling Sunset' were aware of her intentions to start her own company for about a year and a half.
However, Quinn noted that her decision to leave and establish her brokerage didn't fit neatly into the show's storyline. Consequently, the producers opted to craft a more dramatic exit narrative, culminating in a contentious accusation from agent Emma Hernan at the end of Season 5.
