Jess Hilarious Tests Candace Owens’ Black Card On Viral Breakfast Club Interview
In a recent appearance on The Breakfast Club, comedian Jess Hilarious put political commentator Candace Owens to the test in what has been dubbed a "Black Quiz."
The segment aimed to gauge Owens' connection to Black culture through a series of questions and phrases related to Black history and cultural practices.
The interview quickly gained traction as Owens, 34, struggled with several prompts, including completing a well-known call-and-response phrase from the Black church and naming the first Black woman to serve as a Supreme Court justice.
Jess Hilarious initiated the exchange with the phrase "God is good," prompting Owens to respond, "God is good amen," in an amusingly incorrect manner. Their unexpected interaction led to laughter, with Charlamagne tha God, DJ Envy, and Jess unable to contain their amusement.
After correcting Owens' response, Jess Hilarious and Charlamagne tha God informed her of the correct statement: "God is good, all the time, and all the time, God is good."
These moments from the quiz have sparked a wave of online discussions, with many questioning Owens' understanding and relationship with the Black community.
However, Owens managed to earn some points towards her 'Black card' by successfully rapping the theme song to Will Smith's 'The Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air.'
Approximately an hour into the conversation, Charlamagne Tha God took the opportunity to assess Owens' understanding of significant events in Black American history.
During this segment, Jess Hilarious interjected with a question about the number of fights Smith's character got into before relocating to live with his relatives in Bel-Air, California. This prompted Owens to spontaneously perform a rendition of the show's theme song.
"I got in one little fight," Owens declared in the video below. "It was one, and it was a little one...it was a little scuffle and his mom got scared. His mom was overreacting."
