Cardi B claims she was pulled over by law enforcement, a claim refuted by the Los Angeles Police Department.

The rapper recently shared details of what she described as a harrowing encounter with the LAPD over the weekend.

During an Instagram Live on Monday, the Bronx native revealed details of the incident, claiming officers accused her of trafficking fentanyl and possessing a weapon in her car.

"You don't even know what happened to me yesterday, like, y'all don't even know," she exclaimed. "I got stopped by the cops and everything. I got stopped by the cops yesterday. You gon' see, it's gonna hit TMZ real soon. They thought I was trafficking. Yeah, they thought I was trafficking fentanyl. And they thought I had a gun in my car."

The Grammy Award-winning rapper further claimed that she was detained outside for "three hours" and asserted her intention to take legal action against the LAPD.

"They had me getting butt naked outside," Cardi added. "S**t was crazy. It was deada** a movie and whatever. But you already know I'm 'bout to sue the LAPD. They got me f****d up for doing it."

After her serious allegations gained viral attention on social media and news outlets, the "Bodak Yellow" rapper later clarified in a comment under 'The Breakfast Club's' post that her initial statements were meant as a joke. "Ommmgggg noooo this was joke ....I always do these jokes with my fans on station head I guess it don't translate well on ig live .....and I guess I said it before you know bad timing."
