Many find Melania Trump mysterious because she's very private, but a former aide claims the ex-FLOTUS lacks "mystery."

The former first lady prefers to be out of the spotlight and accompany her and Donald Trump's 18-year-old son, Barron, at home. Due to Melania's rare public appearances and being seemingly distant from her husband in public outings, some netizens campaigned to "Free Melania" since they felt she was "an unwilling captor to her husband and his regime," Vox reported.

However, Stephanie Winston Wolkoff, a former friend and aide of Melania, took to X, formerly Twitter, to claim that Melania already lacked that mysterious element. She also alleged that the former model was similar to her businessman-turned-politician husband.

"There is no 'mystery' to Melania Trump. There is nothing that is inherently puzzling or enigmatic about her. She's worked a lifetime to create a narrative and perception of 'mystique,'" she wrote. "She, just like Donald, knows how to keep the media intrigued. A Trump is a Trump is a Trump."

The post received mixed reactions from the netizens. Many said they didn't find Melania intriguing at all in the first place.

"No Mystic..just tons of surgeries make up. Hair extensions..fairly Obvious," one commented.

"I'm not intrigued. She's simply a gold digger. They're around every corner. To think money is so important to her, that she was actually willing to have sex with that thing, tells us all we need to know," another added.

"Actually, there's [n]othing mysterious, fascinating, or even interesting about her," a third person opined.

"Trump and Melania are 'mysterious' in that the emptiness of their souls is immeasurable," a fourth person claimed.

Despite the criticisms hurled at Melania, many still preferred her over the other first ladies of the country.

A Trump lover shared a snap of her on the same platform and wrote: "Melania Trump was hands down a better First Lady than Jill Biden & Michelle Obama."

"She has that true Queen factor going on," one remarked.

Another commented, "Prettiest too."

"Perfect first lady!" another person stated.

The author of "Melania and Me" previously said that the Trumps had a "transactional marriage." In a separate tweet, she commented on Trump's alleged lack of chivalry toward his wife, which many thought was a hint about the former first couple's marital woes.

Winston Wolkoff, however, clarified that she didn't mean to say the Trumps' marriage was on the rocks. According to her, she only highlighted the "shift in their dynamic" and stressed that "their marriage 'works' for them both."
