Rebel Wilson got candid about her weight loss journey.

In a new interview with the Sunday Times, the "Pitch Perfect" star admitted that she used the type 2 diabetes drug Ozempic to maintain her weight after losing 80 pounds.

"Someone like me could have a bottomless appetite for sweets, so I think those drugs can be good," Wilson said, adding that she no longer uses the medication that has become popular among Hollywood celebrities for its weight loss effects.

Wilson, 44, started her weight loss journey in 2020 after a fertility doctor told her she had a better chance of successful IVF if she lost weight. She added that only her mother wanted her to lose weight, as many encouraged her to keep her frame for her career.

"Basically, no one apart from my mom wanted me to lose weight," she continued. "People thought I'd lose my pigeonhole in my career, playing the fat funny character, and they wanted me to continue in that."

Wilson committed herself to a weight loss journey and made it her 2020 New Year's resolution. She shared snaps of her on a beach on Jan. 1, 2020, in her workout outfit and announced that it would be "The Year of Health" for her. In the shots, she seemingly just finished walking.

"Okay, so for me, 2020 is going to be called 'The Year of Health' -- so I put on the athleisure and went out for a walk, deliberately hydrating on the couch right now and trying to avoid the sugar and junk food, which is going to be hard after the holidays I've just had, but I'm going to do it! Who's with me in making some positive changes this year?" she wrote.

Aside from walking, she also changed her diet. The "Bridesmaids" actress admitted that she was an emotional eater and had a sweet tooth, but when she was working on her weight goal, she consumed more protein than carbohydrates.

"Before I was probably eating 3,000 calories most days, and because they were normally carbs, I would still be hungry," Wilson told People.

"So, I've really changed to eating a high-protein diet, which is challenging because I didn't use to eat a lot of meat. I eat fish, salmon and chicken breast."

It has been four years since Wilson decided to change her lifestyle to maintain a healthy weight. From long walks, she had also worked her way up to two-and-half-hour workout sessions and "crazy" cardio sessions, which included running up the steps of the Sydney Opera House in Australia, per Page Six. Wilson said she was happy she stuck with her weight loss goal even after achieving it.

"It so felt good that I kept going," she added.
