'Naked Attraction' Host Says Show May Solve Teen Porn Problem, Must Be Shown In Schools
Anna Richardson believes watching the full-frontal nude dating show she is hosting can help combat the porn problem plaguing teens nowadays.
The 53-year-old TV presenter recently told The Sun that "there's an educational element" in "Naked Attraction" that it should be "shown in schools."
"Parents have said to me they put it on and watch with their 16-year-old sons because they want them to see what real women look like," Richardson said.
"We know that we've got a big problem with pornography. It's time that we kicked back against that and against violence towards women, and started showing this is what ordinary people look like and what ordinary bodies look like."
"That is the beauty of the show -- there's an educational element. I'd be on board with getting it shown in schools," she added.

The host of the Channel 4 dating show since 2016 thinks "Naked Attraction" represents what normal bodies look like without being pornographic.
"There is nothing titillating about 'Naked Attraction.' There is nothing pornographic or sexually exciting -- if anything, it's like opening up a biology manual," she said.
Anna also believes watching the show can disprove beauty standards, saying, "It's also asking: 'What do we find attractive?' We are given those aesthetic norms from pornography. But [on] the show, we disprove that and show that people like a bit of 'dad bod' or don't mind women with hairy legs."
Richardson noted that the show's success for the past eight years could be due to it being a subject of "family viewing."
"Weirdly, it's quite multigenerational, like 'Strictly Come Dancing,'" she added, likening the show to a British TV dance contest.
"You can watch [it] with your parents, even if you are looking between your fingers, or you can watch it with your kids. People tell me they do this and have a good laugh."
"Naked Attraction" premiered in July 2016 on the U.K.'s Channel 4. It is a dating show where "Singletons" get up close and personal with prospect dates in their birthday suits -- stripped of clothes, make-up and status symbols.
Per Pop Crave, the all-nude dating reality show series hit No. 1 on Max's "most popular" list in September 2023.
