Rebel Wilson's 'Embarrassing' Claims Against Sacha Baron Cohen Force Isla Fisher To Announce Split: Report
Isla Fisher and Sacha Baron Cohen's split announcement may have something to do with Rebel Wilson's bombshell claims about the latter, according to a report.
Wilson made several allegations against the "Borat" star in her new book "Rebel Rising: A Memoir." An unnamed tipster claimed that the embarrassing claims prompted Fisher to announce their divorce so she would no longer be associated with Baron Cohen.
"Rebel's book was a catalyst in Isla deciding to announce this to the world," an unnamed insider told The Sun. "She's got her own career and reputation to worry about."

The source continued, "Those close to her said it was starting to get embarrassing with all of the allegations that were spilling out of Rebel's book. So she felt as though it was the right thing to do to inform everyone of their decision."
The insider also claimed Baron Cohen was initially not on board with the decision to publicize their divorce. However, on Friday, the "Brüno" actor and the "Confessions of a Shopaholic" actress shared a joint statement on their Instagram Stories confirming their separation and divorce filing last year.
"Sacha, on the other hand, did not want that," the source continued. "He has been making [it] as though it's business as usual before they made this announcement."
Another source close to the couple claimed they were facing marital strife, but the celebrity couple tried to work it out. However, they eventually decided to part ways even if there was still love.

"They have been having difficulties for some time and have battled to make things work. They didn't want to throw their love away for the sake of their family. Privately, though, friends were made aware," the tipster said.
"They went to great lengths to keep things' business as usual' on social media so as to control the narrative in a way they both felt comfortable with. This decision wasn't taken lightly, and they remain incredibly close. There's still a lot of love there."
Wilson made several allegations against Baron Cohen in the past weeks. In a video she shared on her Instagram on March 15, she mentioned working with a "massive a*****e." Over a week later, she identified the person as Baron Cohen and accused him of allegedly trying to stop the publication of her book by sending her legal threats.
The "Pitch Perfect" star also claimed that he told her to "stick her finger up" his butt when they filmed their 2016 movie "The Brothers Grimsby" while his people laughed and recorded it on their phones.
"I will not be bullied or silenced by high-priced lawyers or PR crisis managers. The 'a--hole' that I am talking about in ONE CHAPTER of my book is: Sacha Baron Cohen," Wilson wrote on her Instagram Story on March 24, per NBC News.
Cohen's representative denied Wilson's claim and said the allegations were "demonstrably false."
Meanwhile, video footage obtained by the Daily Mail showed that Wilson appeared to consent to slapping and touching Baron Cohen's rear end in the never-before-seen clips that failed to make the final cut. The outlet added that it seemed to show it was part of the script, and she was on board with the scene.
Wilson slammed the video footage in a statement to USA Today, saying that it wasn't accurate and complete as it left "my horrified refusal to stick my finger up SBC's butt." She also claimed that the footage was manipulated.
"What this edited video shows is what I had to do in order to get out of the room, as written in 'Rebel Rising,'" Wilson said. "Releasing unauthorized and misleading behind-the-scenes video without my approval is SBC's latest way of bullying and gaslighting me. The outpouring of messages from so many who have also been mistreated by SBC show I'm not alone."
Wilson made several tweets about the incident on X, formerly Twitter, in November 2017, without naming the other person involved, which she said was "in a position of power."
"A male star, in a position of power, asked me to go into a room with him and then asked me repeatedly to stick my finger up his a*s. All whilst his male 'friends' tried to film the incident on their iPhones and laughed. I repeatedly said no and eventually got out of the room," she wrote, per People.
