Melania Trump's appearance at a Florida fundraiser with her husband, Donald Trump, has raised eyebrows on social media.

The former first lady joined her husband at a $250,000-a-ticket bash held at billionaire hedge fund manager John Paulson's Palm Beach, Florida, home Saturday to raise funds for Donald's 2024 reelection campaign, the Daily Mail reported.

Photos and videos from the event showed Melania looking stunning in a pink jumpsuit with a tropical-themed design.

However, one video of Melania looking zoned out and shaky while standing next to Donald as he gave a speech quickly sparked concern and speculation on X, formerly Twitter.

Some claimed that the former model allegedly looked like a "hostage."

"Melania looks like she's in a hostage video tonight. Blink twice if you need help," MeidasTouch editor-in-chief Ron Filipkowski wrote alongside the video.

"Melania looks like she's being held hostage and has been paraded out in front of the cameras. She looks like she wishes someone would just save her from this fake show of support," another X user claimed.

Another X user claimed Melania "looks miserably unhappy" in the clip, adding that the former first lady looked "almost emaciated" and "like she really lost weight."

"Melania certainly does look uncomfortable, if not a hostage," a fourth user observed.

But other X users focused on Melania's look for the fundraiser, gushing over the "beautiful" ex-FLOTUS.

"Melania Trump's dress is very interesting. She's beautiful as always!" one person commented, referring to Melania's jumpsuit.

"Melania could wear a paper bag and look beautiful," another claimed.

Despite the speculation, Melania appears to be ramping up her public appearances after mostly staying away from the public eye since leaving the White House in 2021.

Earlier this week, Politico reported that Melania is set to headline a fundraiser for the conservative LGBTQ group Log Cabin Republicans.

The fundraiser will be held at the Trumps' Florida resort Mar-a-Lago on April 20.

Melania has made just two formal public appearances for her husband's 2024 presidential campaign so far.

She supported Donald at the launch of his latest White House bid in November 2022.

Melania also appeared alongside him to cast her ballot in the Florida presidential primary last month. At the time, Melania seemingly teased her potential return to the campaign trail.Asked by a reporter if she plans to make appearances at campaign events in the coming months, the former first lady said, "Stay tuned."
