Kate Middleton worries for her husband, Prince William, amid her cancer battle.

Earlier this year, Buckingham Palace announced that King Charles was diagnosed with some form of cancer. Months later, the Princess of Wales also confirmed that she was suffering from cancer. However, Middleton is reportedly more worried about King Charles as she doesn't want her husband to lose another parent. Prince William lost his mom, Princess Diana, when he was only 15.

"Kate is also -- even while sick herself -- more concerned about Charles. She doesn't want her husband to lose another parent," an unnamed source told In Touch.

"She knows she'll be ok and so with that, she's just uber-focused on [Charles] and his journey to health."

King Charles is still visible in public despite his cancer diagnosis. However, another source claimed to the outlet that the British monarch, who is battling pancreatic cancer, only has two years to live.

"King Charles is much sicker than the palace lets on and simply isn't up to the job of running his fractious family, the crown's business interests and fulfilling the daily duties of the monarchy," the source said. "His cancer is eating him alive. He's very frail. The situation is desperate."

King Charles was last seen at Windsor on Easter Sunday. He attended a church service at St. George's Chapel in Windsor with his wife, Queen Camilla.

Prince William's wife and dad have shared a close bond. According to Sally Bedell Smith, a journalist and biographer, the monarch and heir apparent are both protective of the Princess of Wales.

"He has always had a very good bond with her. I don't think it is presumptuous to say that she is like the daughter he never had," the author of "Prince Charles: The Passions and Paradoxes of an Improbable Life" told People. "He shares with William an impulse to protect her. They are in this together, Kate and the King."

His Majesty was "so proud of Catherine for her courage in speaking as she did," Buckingham Palace said after the Duchess of Cambridge announced her cancer diagnosis. However, before the big announcement, the father-in-law and daughter-in-law reportedly had a heart-to-heart talk over lunch in Windsor, leaving King Charles "very emotional."

"They are very close, and he thinks of Catherine as his daughter," the insider said. "There is no doubt there is a lot they can share and can use each other for support during their own deeply personal cancer battles."
