Kelly Osbourne Denies Using Ozempic Months After Calling Diabetes Drug 'Amazing'; Reveals How She Lost 85lbs
Kelly Osbourne clarified that her slimmed-down body is not a product of Ozempic use.
In an exclusive interview with Extra, the "The Osbournes" alum denied the rumors that she is using Ozempic. She revealed that the reason for her rapid weight loss was "cutting out sugar and carbohydrates" and a little help from a total tone-up treatment "to sculpt her face and tighten her slimmed-down body" with no surgery and recovery needed.
"I know everybody thinks I took Ozempic. I did not take Ozempic. I don't know where that came from," she said, adding that it was her mom who took it.
Meanwhile, the doctor who gave her the treatment, Dr. Glynis Ablon, talked about the tone-up treatment that Kelly had undergone.
"This is a device that actually is like doing 20,000 sit-ups or leg squats, so it's literally contracting the muscles. It's like doing yoga for the face," Dr. Ablon said.
The revelation comes after the "Changes" singer previously shared her support for the Ozempic trend in an exclusive interview with E! News in February.
"I think it's amazing. There are a million ways to lose weight. Why not do it through something that isn't as boring as working out?" she said at the time.
"People hate on it because they want to do it. And the people who hate on it the most are the people who are secretly doing it or pissed off that they can't afford it. Unfortunately, right now, it's something that is very expensive, but it eventually won't be because it actually works."
Though she voiced support for the drug and those who use it, Kelly did not directly say if she was using it to lose weight.
Before giving a statement on the diabetes drug, in September 2023, Osbourne admitted to going "a little too far" with her postpartum weight after giving birth to her and Sid Wilson's first child, Sidney, in November 2022.
The artist told People that after losing all the baby weight, she tried seeing how far she could go with slimming down.
"[I was] on a mission after having the baby to lose all [my] baby weight. Then I was like, 'Well, I lost all the baby weight. Let's see how far I can go with it.' And then went a little too far," she said.
"Now that I've lost weight, everybody is criticizing and trying to figure out what it is that I've done, and I really just lost some weight."
