Ivanka Trump The Poet: Melania’s Stepdaughter Pens Poem About Herself
Ivanka Trump showed off her poetic side while on vacation.
Over the weekend, the former advisor to the U.S. president took to Instagram to share photos of her and her husband, Jared Kushner, in Utah.
The post was captioned with a poem, seemingly describing her spirit, which she later revealed to be originally written by her.
"Strums of heartstrings blend with the wise wind's hum,
A verse on the breeze, where the endless roads run,
In this quiet kingdom of stone and sun,
Her spirit's verse is a melody spun," Ivanka wrote.
Shortly after she made her post, one netizen asked who authored the poem because it was "nice."
Melania Trump's stepdaughter responded to the comment, writing: "Me. Thank you!"
After the revelation, other netizens commented that her poem was "beautiful," "lovely" and that it "would make nice lyrics to a song."
"I love it! Please share more! You've got talent," someone else wrote.
"Copyright it. If you haven't already," said a different commenter.
"Beautiful poem. Is Utah inspiring?" asked another person.
Her poem also got a nod from the "You Were Meant For Me" singer Jewel.
"Did you write this? It's lovely," she commented.
It was not the first time Ivanka showcased her writing talent. In February, she remembered her late mom Ivana, Donald Trump's first wife, with a poetic birthday tribute.
"Imagining you sailing through the heavens guided by the stars... today would have been your 75th birthday. We raise our sails in your honor, Mom, navigating through life with the compass of your love and intrepid spirit. We miss and love you," she wrote at the time.
Her use of imagery and metaphors in her writing might have been inspired by reading poetry, such as the Robert Fitzgerald translation of Homer's epic poem, "The Odyssey," which she revealed she read during the pandemic.
She talked about her pandemic read when she and Kushner visited Greece in May 2023.
Meanwhile, following her poetic post, the 42-year-old second child of Donald and Ivana posted an assortment of nature photos and videos she had taken, just in time for Earth Day on Monday.
"Gratitude to this beautiful place we call home. Happy Earth Day!" she wrote.
The same photos were shared on her Instagram Stories to celebrate the annual event that "demonstrates support for environmental protection."
